DINING WITH THE STARS


Dining at Villa RockStar has been dubbed 'Dining with the Stars', by a lot of famous people who stayed there. They may be referring to the starlight night, the 5 star quality of the food or just the fact that they are eating with each other. We don't know which one as famous people never fill out the guest questionnaire provided. An anonymous vote by show of hands between the 3 villa Directors was a unanimous deadlock tie. So we emailed Buddha to arbitrate. The answer is that Chef Pong – mastermind of the kitchen at Villa RockStar, is a RockStar Chef. This was the response from Chef Pong ....

SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH


A famous Rocker once said: 'If you don't eat – you die'. This has been scientifically proven to be correct. What they intentionally left out the text book is advice on how to eat like a Rock Star and not a Chump Star. The World Association for Food Le Excellence (WAFFLE for short) rejected our own submission, based the fact that 99% of villa renters don't have access to RockStar food and publishing it would start a revolution, crash markets worldwide and cause global warming to become warmer.

But we don't care.

INVITATIONS FROM HOLLYWOOD


Chef Pong has extensive experience as head chef in swanky restaurants in both in Thailand and Europe. This is not your average Thai Villa Chef. They are nice, but Chef Pong's wide range of culinary delights was enough to get him invited to go on that TV show TOP CHEF – as a judge. He was due to replace that bald guy, but we wouldn't allow him the time off. Proceed to the next column for Chef Pong's response to this news ...


MASTERMINDS


The point is - we promise that the quality of the food at RockStar - you are unable to get at any restaurant in Phuket for the same price. In fact several upscale reso's near the villa charge 3 times the price, but they are our friends so we can't name names. If our prices are not better than your own home city, we suggest don't tell anyone or this might lead to a housing shortage in your area. It's all about balance. Recently Chef Pong was invited to be guest speaker at a Mastermind conference. The topic was "Quantum culinary equilibriums in the year 3000".

FUN AND GAMES


In addition .... you get to custom design your dinner with Chef Pong Mastermind himself. You can watch the cooking first hand sitting around the mightily expensive imported Viking kitchen in comfort, while having a cold beer and chat to Chef Pong. Feel free to ask questions but be specific - otherwise it's like asking David Beckham how he plays soccer. If you are lucky, you might even get to toss a fried egg or stir the veggies.

RockStar Breakfast

Chef Pong will prepare a custom breakfast each day for you. Just tell Chef Pong the night before what you like and he will buy all the ingredients fresh from the markets. Expect a full breakfast cost per person to be about $6 USD per head. Here are some suggestions in case your brain itself is fried from a big night out.

Chef Pong is flexible depending on what the dishes you choose and if he’s in a good mood – it might be possible to order an extra starter or main course.

If there is anything outside the menu that the whole group would like to eat, ask Chef Pong if he can cook it for you.
Menu price is market cost of food + 20% shopping/service fee.
